Still We Are All Giants

Get a glimpse through the looking glass, and see the face of a faceless, plastic world.  Father Time seems to have erased the signature of Mother Nature, leaving us hollow and blank; fading, as figments of urban jungles tend to be, with his touch.  A senseless approach to this world behind the glass that separates is blind and arrogant. There is no erasing Mother Nature, she is actually the movement that Father Time uses to carry out his watch.  Glimpse again, you might see figments of the urban garden continually growing.  It is a blank canvas, and your choice.  Still, we are all giants.

Unlike the the run of the mill screen-printing process, the Cyanotype process is photographic in nature.  In fact, it was the astronomer and chemist John Frederick William Herschel (Brittish, 1792–1871) who revealed this discovery to the world in his paper “On the Action of the Rays of the Solar Spectrum on Vegetable Colours and on Some New Photographic Processes,” which was presented to the Royal Society of London on June 16, 1842.  It is the second form of photographic printing put into practical use.

Thank you for your interest in my artistic use of it today!  Please be aware that the process is rather inconsistent, and highly susceptible to variants in the tones of blue it produces. No two shirts will look the same.  Though permanent on fabric, the image will fade a bit over time.  All of this is part of great charm and uniqueness it lends to my imagery!  So glad to have you here!

To boost longevity, please hand wash with non-phosphate soaps. Enjoy!
